Questions, Answered Straight
What teachers ask us.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Free for dancers, free for teachers, free to list events. If you sell tickets through the app, a 0.5 to 1% fee covers the ticketing infrastructure itself. That fee is the cost of the plumbing, not a profit margin.
How does the auto-listing actually work?
You give us the page where you already post your events: your website, a studio calendar, wherever. Once a week, Dance Finder checks that page and updates your listings to match it. Add a class, it shows up. Cancel one, it comes down. You never touch Dance Finder directly unless you want to.
Do I have to use the ticketing?
No. List your events with your own ticket link, a door price, or donation-based entry. The in-app ticketing is there if you want it, never required.
Who owns my event data?
You do. Your events, your descriptions, your student relationships. Dance Finder is the bulletin board, not the landlord. Remove your listings any time.
What counts as conscious dance?
Five practices live in the app today: 5Rhythms, Open Floor, SoulMotion, Ecstatic Dance, and Contact Improv. More may join as the hub grows.
Is this a startup?
No. There are no investors, no growth targets, no exit plan. It's funded by one dancer who got tired of the problem. The goal is more people dancing, full stop.
When does it launch?
We're in the preload window now: teachers are loading their events so the app is full on day one. The public launch follows as one coordinated announcement. Join the email list above and you'll know the moment it's live.
