Dance Finder Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Dance Finder, operated by Sannidhi ("Dance Finder," "we," "us"), provides a mobile app that helps users discover conscious dance events including 5Rhythms, Ecstatic Dance, Open Floor, SoulMotion, and Contact Improv classes and workshops.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name and email address when you create an account.
Location information: the zip code you provide to search for events near you.
Facilitator information: name, contact details, and event details submitted by facilitators who list classes on the app, including events submitted via URL for automatic extraction and review.
Payment information: when you purchase a ticket through the app, payment is processed by Stripe, a third party payment processor. We do not store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
Usage information: general app usage data such as searches performed and pages viewed, used to improve the app.

3. How we use information

to show you relevant dance events near your location
to allow facilitators to list and manage their events
to process ticket purchases through Stripe
to communicate with you about your account or events you've purchased tickets for
to improve the app based on usage patterns

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the app:

with Stripe, to process payments
with the facilitator whose event you purchase a ticket for, so they can manage attendance
if required by law

5. Data retention

We retain account and event information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal and accounting requirements.

6. Your choices

You can request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing chris@dancefinderapp.com. Facilitators may remove their event listings at any time.

7. California residents

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. Contact chris@dancefinderapp.com to exercise these rights.

8. Children's privacy

Dance Finder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
